Bidirectional drought‐related canopy dynamics across pantropical forests: a satellite‐based statistical analysis

چکیده
Droughts cause extreme anomalies in tropical forest growth, but the direction and magnitude of forests response to droughts are still widely debated. Here, we used four satellite-based canopy growth proxies (CGPs), including three optical one passive microwave, situ fluxes observations from eddy covariance (EC) measurements for a retrospective investigation impacts historical on statistical point view. Results indicate two opposite directions drought-related dynamics across pantropical forests. The with higher CGPs is more vulnerable drought stress recovers faster post-drought recovery period. In contrast, lower increases during period declines subsequent period, which beyond general expectation. eddy-covariance flux towers showed that gross primary production latent heat decreased photosynthesis evapotranspiration increased supporting findings satellite observations. Our analysis against climatic factors predicts higher-CGPs tress probably taller bigger canopies responsive shortage water availability caused by drought; while lower-CGPs shorter smaller sunlight tend increase their leaves enhance sunnier days results highlight differences responding stress, worth incorporated Earth system models time-series evaluations.

Open boreal forests present a challenge in understanding remote sensing signals acquired with various solar and view geometries. Much research is needed to improve our ability to model the bidirectional reflectance distribution (BRD) for retrieving the surface information using measurements at a few angles. The geometric-optical bidirectional reflectance model presented in this paper considers ...

متن کاملAnalysis of Bidirectional Associative Memory Using SCSNA and Statistical Neurodynamics
Bidirectional associative memory (BAM) is a kind of an artificial neural network used to memorize and retrieve heterogeneous pattern pairs. Many efforts have been made to improve BAM from the the viewpoint of computer application, and few theoretical studies have been done. We investigated the theoretical characteristics of BAM using a framework of statistical-mechanical analysis. To investigat...

Learning is a flexible and effective means of extracting the stochastic structure of the environment. It provides an effective method for blind separation and deconvolution in signal processing. Two different types of learning are used, namely batch learning and on-line learning. The batch learning procedure uses all the training examples repeatedly so that its performance is compared to the st...
